It’s been little over two years since OnePlus formally launched in the Indian market, and it has already achieved the highest customer satisfaction rating of all time. A whopping 100% of OnePlus buyers are satisfied with the brand.
This number is higher than even Apple’s, when it comes to the Indian market, although the Cupertino giant does enjoy the most loyal fan base, according to the same survey report.
“As per the latest CMR MICI Survey findings, one interesting trend that stands out is that while Apple and Samsung dominate, a brand like OnePlus is securing a healthy mindshare amongst Indian smartphone consumers,” says Prabhu Ram, head of the Industry Intelligence Group at CMR. “ The MICI survey findings indicate that OnePlus is scoring high on various parameters, commanding a very high loyalty amongst its users, emerging as a highly recommended brand with a high resale value.”
CyberMedia Research (CMR) regularly conducts a Mobile Industry Consumer Insight (MICI) survey that looks to extrapolate what buyers feel about various smartphones brand. In their latest report, focused on premium smartphones, they discovered that OnePlus is rising star among the most number of consumers.
The study focused on what buyers believe are the key factors involved when upgrading their smartphone, including the device itself, the quality of service, and after sales support.
According to them, the premium smartphone segment consists of three types of customers:
Explorers, who make up 34 percent of customers, follow technology trends very closely and are always first to adopt the latest technology.
Followers make up 24 percent and look to purchase new smartphones that are popular among a lot of people.
Passive Viewers: are 42 percent of customers, who prefer to just follow technology trends at their pace rather than being early adopters.
As far as buying smartphones, the report indicates there are five main factors involved. 89 percent of buyers are looking for the latest OS, while 85 percent and 80 percent worry about their device having enough RAM and battery life respectively. Meanwhile, 77 percent of people need to have good networking technology, and 75 percent look for good camera quality.
The MICI survey also discovered that Apple is still the top smartphone brand choice to upgrade to in the near future, and Apple fans also display the maximum loyalty to the company.
OnePlus, meanwhile is ranked highest as a brand recommended by other people, and is rated second behind HTC for trust and desirability. More importantly, OnePlus received 100 percent satisfaction rate in the report from consumers who bought one of the brand’s phones.
